powerbook G4 e Audigy 2 NX

Ciao a tutti, volevo sapere come mai anche impostando nella gonfigurazione audio avanzata il 5.1 il mio powerbook nn riesca, tramite la sk audio esterna USB, a gestire tutte e 5 le casse collegate ad essa.....

Mi sembra giusto riesumare questa discussione per riportare quello che ho appena letto su Xlr8yourmac:
I have verified that the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX USB sound card works on a PowerBook G4 running Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.3), and that I can get 8.1 digital surround sound with it.
The installation procedure is as follows:
Connect it via USB.
In System Preferences:Sound, under Output, choose the "SB Audigy 2 NX" as the device for sound output.
Open /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup.app.
Make sure the Default and System Outputs are "SB Audigy 2 NX."
Select Properties For: "SB Audigy 2 NX."
Under Audio Output, set the format to "48000.0Hz" at "8ch-16bit."
Click "Configure Speakers."
Click "Multichannel."
Set the surround configuration to that of your speakers. I found the following configuration works for my 5.1 setup:
subwoofer - 4
left front - 1
center - 3
right front - 2
left surround - 5
right surround - 6
That's it, you should be able to play surround sound audio. Click "Apply" and "Done," then quit Audio MIDI Setup.

I have had mixed results playing DVDs in DVD Player. If a DVD does not play in surround sound in DVD Player, try opening it in VLC without menus.
