Printer Utilities, add a printer Problem

Hi everyone,
I have a strange problem on the Printer Utilities sw. I am running MAC osx 10.3.9 and I want to add a printer connected via USB (Samsung LML2010, drivers ok, MAC compatible...).
When I go to the add menu I can see the printer and the drivers, I click to add it, but then it do not appear in the printer list. I have never installed any other local printer, do I have to do something particular?

Press the OPTION key while selecting the type of connection. You will see the ADVANCED option at the bottom. Try trhough that.
BTW: why do you speak english while your name sounds Italian... I know it is a stupid question as I speak mainly Italian but I have an english name...

Ho provato a aprire il tipo di connessione tenendo premuto OPTION, ma advanced non appare.
La connessione comunque è ok, è come se non riuscisse a modificare il file che memorizza la lista stampanti.

P.S. Sono Italiano ma ora sono in US e pensavo che l'inglese rendesse il post più facile da leggere per utenti anche non-italiani. :-)
