HELP: crash inspiegabili di applicazioni Apple e di Lion

Ciao a tutti!
Vi scrivo per cercare di capire il problema che affligge il mio Mac, e vedere se si può risolvere senza portarlo in riparazione.
Ieri il mio MacBook Pro è stato molto lento nell'avviarsi. Una volta avviato, ho aperto Mail, e il sistema si è bloccato. Non riuscivo ad aprire alcun altro programma, nemmeno a fare la chiusura forzata, e ho dovuto spegnerlo "con le cattive" tenendo premuto il tasto di accensione.
Ho ripetuto il processo un altro paio di volte, con gli stessi risultati. In serata ho riprovato ad accenderlo, e d è riuscito a funzionare. Solamente che andava lentissimo, e ad ogni minima operazione appariva la rotella colorata di attesa.
In questo momento lo sto usando senza problemi (Mail, Safari), ma questa mattina sono crashati sia Anteprima che OpenOffice diverse volte.
Questo problema mi era già capitato un mese fa, poi ho aggiornato a Lion ed era scomparso. Ora si è ripresentato e non capisco il perchè. La mia scarsissima esperienza mi fa pensare che forse ci sia qualcosa che non va con la ram.
Siccome la settimana prossima sono via per cinque giorni pensavo fosse un'occasione ottima per lasciarlo in riparazione. Però, dato che è un problema che va e viene, non vorrei che non trovassero niente.
Se mi potete dare una mano sarei contentissimo!

Volevo postarvi un logs, ma non ho ben capito come farlo (ho letto la guida). Sarò scemo, ma in Console non ritrovo gli stessi termini indicati nella guida...

grazie lollorenzo, ma non sono riuscito a trovare qualcosa di utile in quella discussione.
Vi chiedo scusa ma in quanto a manutenzione e risoluzione problemi su Mac sto quasi a zero. Su windows me la cavavo meglio, è da poco che uso il sistema operativo della mela.
Comunque, questo dovrebbe essere il crash log di mail, spero che in questo modo qualcuno possa darmi una mano.

Kernel panic e hang di sistema non hanno di fatto mai un ritorno utile da una consultazione dei log.
Non danno indicazioni se non di quello che stavi facendo quando si è verificato il fatto.

Immagina che una persona abbia un malore e dica al medico, come contributo alla diagnosi, che l'ha avuto mentre al bar prendeva il caffè parlando col barista, anziché seduto in poltrona mentre guardava un film alla tv.

Inoltre il log postato non si capisce cos'è e dove tu lo abbia preso.
(EDIT, nel senso che hai postato cose che non servono, vedi istruzioni in basso, sul link)

Qualche indicazione utile si potrà assumere da un log di riavvio, se c'è ed è possibile.
E da un system log in occasione dell'evento, se sai recuperarlo da Console.

Prova a postarlo, se qualcuno di noi leggendolo potrà darti qualche indicazione, lo farà, potrebbe anche essere...
Dovrai essere molto preciso in proposito eseguendo queste istruzioni

Non ho ancora fatto un analisi ma il tuo problema deriva da blocchi al kernel di qualcosa legato ad una vecchia applicazione non adatta al sistema il uso.
È riferita a supporto software per macchinari medici, qualcosa relativo a Bio Kit

Poi hai anche un altro problema legato ad applicazioni Adobe.
Ma se intanto disinstalli il supporto software che mi sembra di aver individuato come fonte del problema sarà già un passo avanti.

Purtroppo io non ho idea di cosa sia questo Bio Kit (una ricerca con spotlight non ha prodotto risultati), e pure non ho mai installato alcun supporto software per macchinari medici!

Un mouse? Spacious navigator? Un 'applicazione con Bioperl (linguaggio)? FigThree?
Un meccanismo collegato via Airport che fa qualcosa?

Se non sai tu cos'hai installato sul tuo Mac... È un software con quei riferimenti, ricerche non mi danno risultati plausibili, ma c'è....

Ha un'estensione del kernel a 32 bit, crea problemi e viene richiamato all'avvio del Mac.
Forse è il responsabile della sparizione della cartella detta.

Apri la cartella /Library/ScriptingAdditions e sposta sulla scrivania il file Adobe Unit Types.osax che ci trovi e sostituiscilo con quello.
La tua versione di Photoshop CS3 o CS4 ha quello script che gira a 32 bit, quello che scaricherai è a 64bit

Hai un'applicazione che si chiama Switch, un audio converter o qualcosa di simile, aggiornala se è aggiornabile, o eliminala sostituendola.

Poi vediamo se i problemi si ripetono.

Allora, ho eliminato Switch (non era aggiornabile) e ho sostituito il file di adobe come mi avevi detto. Il problema però persevera.

Il file RBIOKitHelper.kext potrebbe essere collegato a Remote Buddy, un programmino per l'uso del telecomando che usavo tempo fa ma che avevo disinstallato. Pensi che vada direttamente eliminato o faccio danni?

Gli unici crash log salvati in console sono: Finale 2009 (programma di scrittura musicale), OBEXAgent (?), Preview.
