Ecco quanto si attende di vendere Carphone Warehouse, il principale rivenditore indipendente di cellulari del Regno Unito e, con O2 ed Apple, l’€™unico negozio autorizzato a commercializzare il telefono di Apple. Carphone Warehouse ha una rete molto capillare nel Regno Unito: ben 800 negozi. La stima di 10mila telefoni significa 12,5 iPhone per ciascuno dei punti vendita, un cifra apparentemente non enorme. Ma se si pensa che iPhone sarà messo in vendita a partire dalle 18 e che l’€™apertura non durerà più di quattro ore, significa più di tre iPhone l’€™ora, una cifra molto interessante. Se poi ai tre iPhone l’€™ora si aggiungono quelli che saranno venduti dai negozi Apple (che nel Regno Unito sono 12), da AppleStore on line e da O2, il totale delle prima giornata potrebbe essere davvero enorme. Carphone Warehouse spera, proprio grazie alla capillarità della sua rete di vendita, di conquistare una parte molto rilevante delle vendite del telefono.
