Realizzati con processo di costruzione a 20nanometri le nuove memorie sono in grado di triplicare la velocità di trasferimento dei dati oggi disponibili, raggiungendo un massimo di 400Megabit al secondo. Samsung dichiara che dal punto di vista dei costi i nuovi chip sono in grado di incrementare la produttività del 50% rispetto ai chip precedenti da 32gigabit DDR che la multinazionale ha iniziato a produrre nell’aprile dello scorso anno. La maggior capienza dei nuovi chip e soprattutto le maggiori prestazioni saranno disponibili per tutti i dispositivi digitali portatili di prossima generazione, inclusi smartphone e tablet.
